Dearer petrol not dear to common man!

Image
People say dreams that you see in morning...turns out to be true...soon..! Oh my god....I saw a dream that made me whizzed out fast from the torturous traffic of Delhi. Yuppie.....feels good to see that won’t have to suffer the traffic trauma ....anymore....' if my dream comes out to be true'. But certainly there is something...that is still hovering my mind...i was driving my car in sea....haha....as the hike in petrol prices...had left me wandering that I should now commute by public transport. A headline 'Petrol prices dearer by 3 Rs” has always made me wander….one thing…why the economist have made the term dearer which means costlier to them. But I know only one term "dear" that means...what my heart likes....and i know ..there are people who always mistook it..to 'dear'. How can...it be dear to us if it is creating a hole in our pocket..? Coming back to my dream.......... Hmmm I was driving it in sea...as petrol has taken a toll on my pocket. Now I...

Anna Hazare- The Indian Nayak

Image
It was year 2001 when Anil Kapoor and Rani Mukherjee starrer Nayak had hit theatres on September 7. And I remember I couldn’t get an opportunity to see the movie in theatres, as I was just 14 at that time. But when I saw it on our cable TV, I was glued with TV for two and a half hours. Tears kept rolling down my cheeks to see a brave man who lost his parents in his fight against corruption. I have usually seen filmmakers making films by being influenced with the real stories that take place in our day today lives. It was a story of a common man, a journalist who while interviewing the chief minister showcases his real picture of a corrupt politician live on national television. And there in a rage of fit the CM offers him to take his chair and he accepts the challenge. From there the story starts and his fight against the corrupt government and corruption starts. But this is for the first time; I can see a man of 74 years old portraying the character of a true Nayak in this cou...

Guru- The real motivator behind anyone’s success

Image
"Guru Brahmaa, Guru Vishnu, Guru Devo Maheswara, Guru Saakshaat Param Brahma, Tasmai Shri Guru dev Namaha." A guru in the Indian mythology is considered supreme to god. I have never seen god, but I believe there is a supreme power. But there is one true power, one supreme spirit that I have seen in this odyssey of life ... a supreme power who has given a direction to my life, a guru who has taught me what I am today. Every person who has brought a change in my life through his teachings, I consider him my guru. For me my first guru, are my parents who taught me to stand and face this world. That’s how my life started. And since then several people came in my life and left an impact on my mind. After my parents, my grandfather is the second guru to me. I still remember the day when I was in class 1st and he taught me the name of the nine planets. Though it was bit early for me to jot down the nine names, but I still managed to learn it. I did not want to but I had to...

London riots- Racism is yet alive !

Image
There has always been a desire and a wish in my heart to visit a land outside India. But now I feel that this desire of mine is useless. There's hardly any difference left between any country. All countries are burning in flames of politics. London, 140-year-old Reeves Furniture store burned in flames. Riots over shooting of a dark-skinned man by police under suspicious circumstances turned into racial fights. An award wining journalist states that English Historian blames black culture for riots. I wonder how people can act blind with a power of eye sight. BBC and CNN footage clearly showed hooded teens...they were not only black, but were white's too. I was living in an illusion, I thought that India is the only country where politics rules over everything. But I am surprised to see its prevalent in every country. It's been just a week to the riots and a blame game has started to emanate. Just because an Asian was killed in the riot .....the so called ...
