Call for a new Land !

India is a land of diversity, great culture, great tradition but still not on the top of ladder in world's hierarchy. Discrimination on the basis of caste ,creed and relegion may sound a bit old, but fighting on these silly reasons still exist.

We may have moved in 21st century, generations may have changed. But the fight for recognition, fight for existence has been there through out !

At the time of Independence , we fought for our independent land, our rights. And now even after celebrating 62 years of Independence, we are still fighting for our seperate land and indentity.

A small country on the world map India constitutes of 28 states. But few people are not satisfied with such a small number. There might not be appraisals for the betterment of poor people. But an appraisal in no. of states is must for political parties to show their power and give birth to Netas who rule on public expenses.

After not so old seperation of Chattisgarh from Madhya Pradesh, Uttrakhand from Uttar Pradesh, and Jharkhand from Bihar, Now there's a call for another new state Telengana from Andhra Pradesh.

There's no denial to the fact that there are many poor places in India that needs attention. But to call for seperate land is not a solution. The Telengana Samiti leader Chandrasekhar Rao went on a 10 day hunger strike to get an approval for a seperate state from AP Telengana. Strikes, Vandalising public property, sporadic incidents of violence have become common on streets of Andhra Pradesh as a part of the agitation.

One of the reason for the call of seperate land is that a village of Telengana Siddipet is a poverty driven place and it needs attention. So there's a call for a seperate Neta for the paticular piece of land.

Inspired by Telengana, Mayawati, Jaswant singh are in the que with their list for seperate new smaller states.

Should a new state be formed simply because its a poor piece of land? A small country on the world map, divided into 28 pieces and 29 and many more numbers are on que.. .. ! A question arises in my heart..Why not to unite than to divide?

hmmm nice piece, much more could have been written, but well tried...though i don't know much about the facts but another state, just because a set of people agitated adn striked, is not acceptable.
Bad decision dear home minister..!

Topic chosen is very current so evokes interest and yes reaction too.I think its all about governance.Larger states have been ingoring poor belts at the cost of more powerful lobbies. Its all about aspirations of people continuing to live in powverty inspite of 60 plus years of independence. The fruits of prosperiy need being equally spread.Having said that,i am of the opnion that Goverment should not take hasty decisions just because some leader has gone on fast unto death.

I agree with your opinion sir. There's more to be done to see a better tomorrow!
Review takes place the benefits of small states but it is not true in the case of newly formed states . They have not touched the expected level of development so far.your ideas are very relevant but what would be the solution of ever incresing unemployment amongst d relatives of ....... so d movement goes on... presently we are in the transition phase of making us a developed country . so let us hope that these would be routine matter.
